Professional Drummer for 16 years, has worked with several singers and MPB groups(Brazilian Popular Music) like (Spartacus, Free Band, Água de Cheiro, Modern Soud Six, Felício Banda Show, Fly By Night), Banda Vambora  Odd Job(Rock) Cadillac Valvulado and Time Machine. Fábio also worked with country music singers such as “ Julio César and Juliano, Edu and Anderson, Lucas and Luan, Rosa and Rosinha, The Marcianas, René and Ronaldo among others. He had the opportunity to study with the Drummer instructor Paulo Dadamos from Jaú - Brazil and was graduated by the  ”Conservatório Dramático e Musical Dr. Carlos de Campos ” from Tatuí - Brazil in MPB ( Brazilian Popular Music ) and Jazz, where he had classes with the instructors: Paulo Braga, Paulo Flores, Rui de Carvalho, Cleber Almeida and Jose Carlos da Silva.

Studed at Berklee College of Music in Boston USA (5WeekSummer Program (2008). Had classes with the instructors: Alberto Neto, Sergio Bellotti, Robert Tamagni, Rick Considine, Larry Finn, Rick Kress, Bob Kaufman, Tim Mayer, David Weiger, Rob Rose, Kenneth A. Zamb.  

Fábio Saffi has been Drum player for 10 years and taught classes at the school “Livre de Música” in the city of Jaú – Brazil. CEMUSI“ Centro Musical“ and “Ritmo School“ in the city of São Carlos - Brazil and also teaches private classes applying musical didactics targeting the following styles: Rock, Funk, Salsa (Latin Music), Jazz and Brazilian Music, Technique and Reading.

Participated in the  “1° Festival of Drummer and  1° Festival of  Guitarist in the city of  Jaú – Brazil. Played in the 35º Festival of Canção de Minas Gerais“ Brazil, with the group  Maracutaia in the Internacional Festival of Music “del Mundo“ in  Bolívia at the lake Titicaca, in the town Puerto Perez together with groups of other countries such as: Panamá, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Mexico, Equador, Venezuela, Bolivia and Ivory Coast. In the same festival, Fábio had a special appearance with the singer from Mexico, Miguel Sevilla. He also participated in the ceremony  "Descubra o Brasil" which took place in the Hotel Europa and at the  Thelonius Jazz Bar in the city of La Paz. He participated in three Jazz Festivals in São Carlos – Brazil, and in the 1° Festival MPB Instrumental of Tatuí – Brazil. He also atended workshops with Roberto Sion, Nelson Ayres, Iteberê Zwarg, Fernando Corrêa, Manê Silveira, Silvinho Mazzuca Jr, Toninho Ferrugutti, Benjamin Taubkin, Arrigo Barnabé, Djalma Lima, Tiago do Espírito Santos, Proveta, Hermeto Pascoal, Carlos Tacha, Guello, Renato Martins, Caito Marcondes, Márcio Bahia, Zé Eduardo Nazário, Nenê, Wesley Izar (Lelo), Bob Waity, Magno Bizolli, Rui Motta, Mauricio Leite, Douglas Las Casas, Ac Dal Fára.

He played in several workshops together with the guitarist Alberto Correia, ex-music instructor at UNICAMP (University Campinas – Brazil) and also played with the trombone Dejair Rodolf and  the Noth American piano player Kelvin Shollar (Free Jazz 2002) as well as with the French violinist Nicolas Krassik among others.

He also recorded several CDs suchas : Odd Job (Rock), Tribo Terra I and II (Brazilian Popular Music), Ozy dos Palmares, Pedro Paulo (Brazilian Popular Music), Hamilton e seus Estados (Regional Music), Fábio Lopes Jazz Trio I and II (Jazz), Hamilton Dantas "Jabá" (Instrumental Music) Banda Vambora (Coletânea Subindo a Ladeira), Manuel Baptista (Christian Music), Banda Eternun Dei (Christian Music), Elias and Rubens (Gospel), Cintia Cristina (Gospel) Toca Térmica (Rock), Laércio de Oliveira, CDs: “ Quero a Paz” and  “ Motivo da Canção “ (Christian Music -  CD released in Brazil, USA,  Spain and Portugal), Migueli (Spanish singer, Christian Music , CD released in Brazil and Spain), Nelson Hilário (Gospel), Elvira Nina (Boston/USA – (Christian Music),  CD released in Brazil and USA, Rogério Vicentini (Instrumental Rock), Alexandre Pivato (Boyna) (Instrumental Music). In some of these recordings he had the pleasure to work with:  Arquimedes Ferreira, Luisinho Felipe, Edson Lallo, Ricieri Nascimento, Alexandre Pivato (Boyna) and others.

Participated of other musical projects : Quartet Samambaia (Elis Regina with Influence of Jazz) Quintet Samambaia (Brazilian Instrumental Music), Rush Trio Cover (Rush), Trio Pé de Cabra (Instrumental Music), Cubanismo Band (Latin Music).

 Nowadays Fábio  participes  in several projects such as: Private classes, studio recording among others.
